Senior Director of Software Engineering

Job Summary

Kaseya is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead the development and execution of enterprise software platforms. This role is responsible for driving technical strategy, architecture, engineering execution, and team leadership across products that support critical business operations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineering leader with a strong hands-on software development background, deep SaaS platform experience, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams that deliver secure, scalable, and reliable software.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across enterprise software platforms, including architecture, product design, engineering strategy, and roadmap execution.


• Lead the development of secure, scalable, and high-performing software across cloud-hosted, data center-hosted, and hybrid environments using modern enterprise technologies.


• Manage, mentor, and inspire teams of software engineers, architects, and technical leads, fostering a culture of accountability, urgency, collaboration, and engineering excellence.


• Define and improve engineering processes, including agile delivery, quality strategy, test automation, deployment automation, DevOps practices, and operational readiness.


• Partner closely with product management to define product roadmaps, technical requirements, delivery schedules, and execution plans.


• Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of modern software solutions, including instrumentation, automation, and AI-enabled engineering practices.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, UX/UI, operations, support, sales, marketing, HR, Talent, and executive leadership, to align engineering strategy with business goals.


• Communicate technical concepts, project updates, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.


• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on SaaS platforms, distributed systems, enterprise applications, data collection pipelines, or similar complex software environments.


• Proven experience leading and managing large software engineering teams, including mentoring engineers, architects, technical leads, and engineering managers.


• Deep hands-on experience with modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, DevOps, continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment automation.


• Strong technical background in architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, SaaS platform security, application security, scalability, and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, distributed software systems, business-critical applications, data-intensive products, or cybersecurity-adjacent software.


• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Java, C#, .NET, MySQL, SQL, AWS, and enterprise-scale SaaS platforms.


• Experience working across a range of architectures and design patterns, including cloud-native platforms, N-tier systems, MVC, client-server architectures, and distributed systems.


• Demonstrated ability to align engineering execution with broader product strategy, business goals, and portfolio integration initiatives.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with executives, product leaders, business management, support, sales, marketing, and operations.


• Proven ability to recruit, develop, retain, and lead high-performing technical talent in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.


• Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and execution skills.
