Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement HMI applications for Infotainment systems of automotive domain controllers on Android (AAOS) platforms.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to bring wireframes and visual concepts to life using tools like Android Studio, Kanzi, and Unreal Engine.
• Added advantage if experienced with System UI development experience.
• Integrate HMI layers with middleware/Android Automotive framework.
• Optimize 3D graphics, animations, and overall performance of the HMI for smooth rendering and responsiveness for embedded systems with real-time constraints
• Conduct debugging, unit testing, and validation of HMI features across various hardware platforms and scenarios.
• Create clear and concise documentation for design, architecture, and workflows.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including system architects, platform developers, and QA engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience in HMI development for automotive systems.
• Proficiency in Android Studio, Java/Kotlin.
• Strong experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
• Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with UI/UX tools such as Qt, Kanzi, and Unreal Engine.
• Understanding of embedded systems, real-time OS and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and Agile development.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with AOSP customization and Android HAL development.
• Exposure to graphics rendering techniques, animations, 3D graphics principles and GPU
optimization.
• Familiarity with SoCs from Qualcomm, Renesas, or NXP.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434).
