We are an AI-native engineering organization — coding agents, automated review, and machine-assisted design are core to how we ship, not a side experiment. You will join a small, seasoned team of engineers with deep technical backgrounds, a high bar, and the autonomy to move fast. The role is built to grow — toward either people leadership or technical leadership, as your strengths and interests take shape.
 

What You Will Own

• Take features and services from framing to release across multiple areas of the product.


• Deliver with AI in the loop — use coding agents daily to ship faster while holding production quality.


• Work in an agile way — iterate quickly, adapt as priorities shift, and stay effective under pressure.


• Propose more than one solution or library, and choose by weighing the trade-offs.


• Shape the design — schemas, interfaces, and abstractions that hold up as the system grows.


• Design and code for the non-functional aspects — performance, scalability, security, accessibility, and readability.


• Review pull requests and mentor one or two engineers, lifting the team as you go.


• Monitor the services and tools you own, and build automations that improve their efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to drive ambiguous problems to completion with limited guidance, and communicating clearly across functions.


• A product thinker — you understand the customer problem behind the work and build solutions you’re proud of.


• Fluent with AI coding agents — you steer them to the intended result, not just correct it afterward.


• Full-stack: exposure to backend services and a modern JavaScript front end.


• A plus: Ruby on Rails and React (or a comparable server-side framework and modern SPA front end), multi-tenant SaaS, and experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
