Senior Engineer, Application Engineering

Position: Senior Engineer – Application Engineer 
Qualification: BE/ B Tech 
Exp: 7 to 10 years 
Location: Chennai(Factory) 
This position is responsible for adapting and implementing the existing design of JE Global product portfolio (Actuator, Motor, FPA, Relay and others) for India application, from the existing design standards with the support of from JE-SJ team.Responsible for the engineering activity and localization of the product through the JE PDS to launch and thereafter. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• To contact customer for technical communication for the JE products under his responsibility, internally and externally. 
• Handle technical interface between customer and China / European Engineering team 
• Responsible for product compatibility with customer environment and product conformity with JE design standards and installation rules 
• Responsible for product adaptation / improvement and if required development to customer need through CAD system such as Solid Edge / NX (2D and 3D designs according to JE standards) 
• To reach out to R&D team member in local project team, the supports the team on the engineering product details, information and localization. 
• Will release the validation plan and will follow it for all new products that JE  will develop. 

Required Skill Set:

• Relevant experience (5 years min.) in product mechancial /  plastic part / electrical design for automobile application use. 
• 3 years or more for solid design experience of plastic and metal parts. Good knowledge in CAD (UG and Solid edge is considered as a plus) 
• Exposure to DC motor testing: temperature cycling and reliability etc 
• Good knowledge of APQP / IATF  system and the documents inside : DFMEA, 
• PFMEA, DVPR, PCP, PLM and PPAP/SER. 
• Good, communication and interpersonnal skills and must be a team player and must be able to wotk in a multinational environment.
