Senior Engineer - Distribution

Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer – Dry Utilities will play a key role in delivering electrical designs for major infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive Middle East project experience and strong technical expertise in MV/LV underground power distribution networks, external and street lighting design, and dry utility systems. 

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Lead and deliver high-quality dry utilities design for large-scale infrastructure projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Plan and design Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) underground power distribution networks.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform external / street lighting design including photometric calculations using Dialux.

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct equipment sizing calculations for electrical systems and utilities.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop and review Pump Stations Electrical designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client and authority standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure seamless project integration.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure all design outputs comply with relevant IEC/IEEE international standards and local authority regulations (SEWA, DEWA, ADDC).

  
  


• 
  

  Utilize software such as Civil 3D, ETAP, AutoCAD, and Dialux for design modeling, analysis, and documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct design reviews, resolve technical issues, and support QA/QC procedures.

  
  

Skills, and Experience Required to Execute this Role

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.


• 
  

  8–10 years of proven experience in Dry utilities engineering within vendors, contractors, or design consultancies.

  
  


• 
  

  Working experience on Middle East infrastructure projects is highly preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent understanding of MV/LV power distribution, routing, trenching, duct banks, and load planning.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficient in external lighting design and Dialux outdoor lighting calculations.

  
  


• 
  

  Competent in equipment sizing, cable sizing, and load flow analysis.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficient in Civil 3D, ETAP, AutoCAD, and Dialux.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
