## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nOwn the firmware architecture \n\nDefine system and component architecture \n\nProduce architectural artifacts: block diagrams, interface specs, state machines, sequence diagrams, and threat models. \n\nDesign \u0026 develop platform firmware \n\nImplement base software, HAL, and lowlevel drivers for MCU/SoC peripherals (I\u00b2C/SMBus/PMBus, SPI, UART, GPIO, ADC, PWM, timers). \n\nBuild services for sensors, fans, power, FRU/EEPROM, CPLD/FPGA interfaces, and platform events. \n\nDeliver featurecomplete diagnostics and fieldserviceable logs. \n\nStandards \u0026 protocols (data center domain) \n\nImplement and integrate PMBus for PSUs; SMBus/I\u00b2C , Modbus. \n\nWork with embedded RTOS stacks for controller firmware. \n\nQuality, reliability, and security \n\nEnforce coding standards (MISRA C/C++ where applicable), static analysis, unit/integration tests, and hardwareinloop validation. \n\nDrive observability (health models, watchdogs, selftests) and resilience (degraded modes, failsafe updates). \n\nLead the design and development of embedded software for DAL-B aerospace systems. \nApply Model-Based Design (MBD) techniques using tools like MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, simulation, and auto-code generation. \nDvelop and integrate hand-coded C modules where necessary for performance or certification constraints. \nDevelop and integrate device drivers for communication protocols including UART, SPI, ARINC429, and MIL-STD-1553B. \nWork with VxWorks RTOS for real-time embedded system development and task scheduling. \nEnsure full compliance with DO-178B/C objectives across the software development lifecycle. \nConduct and participate in peer reviews, audits, and verification activities. \nCollaborate with systems, hardware, and quality teams to ensure traceability and certification readiness. \nPrepare and maintain documentation including software plans, requirements, design, test cases, and traceability matrices. \nUtilize debugging tools like Lauterbach for low-level software debugging and validation. \nManage and trace requirements using tools such as DOORS, IBM DNG, or Cradle.\"\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nExperience: 8\u201312+ years in embedded/firmware development, including 2\u20134+ years leading or architecting platformlevel solutions.\n\nLanguages: Expert in C, strong in C++ for embedded; solid understanding of memory/interrupts/concurrency.\n\nPlatforms: Handson with TI-MCUs or similar MCU/SoC; board bringup\n\nProtocols/Standards: Deep experience with I\u00b2C/SMBus/PMBus, SPI, UART, GPIO (at least several of these in production).\n\nTesting: Static analysis, unit testing\n\nTooling: Git (branching, code review), CI systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).\n\nArchitecture: Demonstrated ability to create architecture/design docs and lead crossfunctional design reviews.\n\nBachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering (or equivalent practical experience). \n\n## Skills:\n\nCollaboration \u0026 leadership\n\nLead technical design reviews; mentor engineers; coordinate with hardware, validation, manufacturing test, and DevOps.\n\nTranslate product requirements into firmware epics, backlog, estimates, and release plans.\n\nEngage with vendors as needed.\n\nTooling \u0026 process\n\nOwn CI/CD for firmware (build, test), version control (GitHub), and issue tracking (Jira).\n\nMaintain highquality documentation (architecture, APIs, design decisions, validation plans, release notes).\n
