Senior Engineer - Instrumentation and Control

We are seeking an experienced Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to support the design, specification, implementation and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems for power generation and energy infrastructure projects. The role includes development of control philosophies, instrument specifications, DCS/PLC architecture, package integration, functional safety, and multidisciplinary engineering coordination throughout FEED, Detailed Design and EPC phases.

• Prepare Instrument Index, I/O Lists and Instrument Datasheets.
• Develop Instrument Specifications for Pressure Instruments, Temperature Instruments, Flow Measurement Systems, Level Instruments, Analysers (CEMS, Gas Detectors etc.), Control Valves, On-Off Valves.
• Develop Hook-up Drawings and Installation Details.
• Review vendor documentation and resolve technical queries.
• Experience in Systems Configuration for DCS/PLC/SCADA, including logic building, graphics development, tuning, and point database creation.
• Design Network Architectures for control systems, including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and redundant networks.
• Interface with OEMs and engineering teams for system design, upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
• Develop system backups strategies, security policies, and compliance with instrumentation standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and change management records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• Good knowledge on IEC codes.
• Experience in C&I systems, preferably in power plants, CCGT, utilities, oil & gas, or process industries.
• Strong Experience in reviewing interface with PLC, SCADA, DCS and Metering Systems.
• Detailed design projects, FEED studies, performance testing and operational support consultancy services within the power industry.
• Experience in preparation of EPC tender Documents.
• Knowledge and experience of major industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP and Ethernet/IP 

Preferred Experience

• Experience in working with a major EPC Contractor on complex FEED or Detailed Design Projects
• Experience preferably in power plants, CCGT, utilities, oil & gas, or process industries.
