Job Description - Senior Engineer -Rate Assessment and Monitoring Program (RAMP)

This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, analyzing data and providing action recommendations . The individual will play a critical role in maintaining smooth production processes and mitigating risks proactively. Responsible to coordinate with Supplier,SDE ,SQE, Buyer, Commodity Manager, Plant Quality & Other Stakeholders. Collaborates with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet quality objectives, lead root cause analysis, and resolve technical challenges. Monitors project status, ensures timely risk escalation, and drives SQD KPI compliance. Leads data-driven performance improvement, continuous improvement initiatives, QMS activities, and process standardization while deploying new business initiatives. " " 1. Monthly RAMP Follow-Up Calls - Conduct regular follow-up calls with suppliers to assess their Capacity Plans. - Confirm that the Capacity Plan is being executed as promised. - Challenge suppliers where the plan is not being met. - Escalate issues to the Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) when necessary 2.Effective Communication and Analysis - Confidently communicate with and challenge suppliers. - Analyze PowerBI data, create summaries, and generate recommendations. - Audit GPS Supplier audits for completion of audits and attachments by the SDE team. 3. Supplier Survey Management - Chase up suppliers for desktop survey responses. - Analyze desktop survey responses, summarize findings, and create recommendations. - Identify supplier risks and recommend on-site visits where necessary. 4. Trouble shoot for flawless closures in coordination with key stake holders. 5. Anticipate and understand customer requirements and provide customer centric solutions 6. Monitor and communicate process and supplier performance 7. Support and lead process transitions through on time and accurate documentation, 8. Identify, investigate, and Resolve Supplier Technical and/or System issues related to product or process realization to have effective closures - Change managements,correlation issues and Quality issues 9. Analyzes Supplier Issues, use of statistical and analytical tools, Lean Six Sigma, DoE,A3 for Supplier performance Improvement. 10.Ensures compliance with the customer requirements, Quality policy, Company standards, Regulatory and external standards 11.Effectively interacts with Supplier, SCM (Buyer/CM) ,SQE, SDE ,Production and Engineering teams to maintain product supply from Supplier 12. Work as a co- coordinator between SDE,suppliers and internal functions/plants (Engineering, Plants, Operations, etc.) to clarify requirements, eliminate confusion, and improve definition of requirements. 13) Drive proactively LLRA ( Lesson Learn Read Across ). 14) Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lead Level-3 projects to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency 15) Lead the QMS activities for the process and drive change management & Process standardization 16) Deploy the process & execute the new initiatives percolated from business / SDQ organization" BE in (Mechanical/Production/Aeronautical/Electrical/Electronics/ Industrial Engineering) Minimum 10~14 years of experience in, Manufacturing / or Process Engineering and ,APQP, Supplier Development and Quality Minimum 6 years of Experience in APQP,Supplier Quality Program management Experience in working with Global customers & suppliers. Knowledge of materials management or capacity analysis is desirable Experience in performing Supplier onsite audit and assessment " "Knowledge of problem solving tools,APQP, PPAP, Core Tools and GD&T. Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis, Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Machining/Casting /Forging /Molding/Electrical/Electronics is preferred as per sequence. Should be certified Internal Auditor AS/ISO/IATF " 1. Effective verbal, written & Business Communication, and Effective articulation/presentation skills 2. 3.
