Senior Engineer - Testing & Validation

Job Purpose:

The Senior Engineer is accountable for conducting testing of polymer products based on various assignments. He / She must ensure on time completion, correctness of test data and support in preparation of test reports.

Responsibilities:

• Independently perform UTM, CMM, Pressure Testing, HARDNESS tests, handling of Plastic Processing lab and data analysis using a variety of complex methods and techniques.

•  Providing support in report preparation and documentation

• QC and benchmarking of Ashirvad products

• Ensure smooth functioning of specific equipment having ownership.

• Adherence to Standard Operational Procedure (SOP)

• Adherence to the latest norms & standards for testing.

• New method development (as necessary)

• Maintaining stock of Spare parts of dedicated equipment.

• Daily checking of logbook / utilization

• Updating of History card.

• Repeat Testing

• Intermediate check including SRM Testing

• Ensure timely sample disposal after testing

• Perform all tasks in a safe manner and ensure good housekeeping.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in disciplines related to Polymer Engineering/Science, Plastic Technology.

• 2-3 years of industrial experience preferred.

• Experience in testing physical properties of polymers.

• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills – both written and verbal.

• Proven ability to build effective cross functional working relationships.

• Experience in ISO 17025
