Senior Engineer Verification and Validation

## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nMRDS team is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to spearhead the manual and test automation engineering activities for software/firmware applications for embedded device like power quality meters. Senior Test Engineer will define detailed test cases, develop test scripts and identify functional and non functional test cases to verify functionality for Software applications in the Meters and Relays Group. Strong work experience in test automation and is necessary for the success of this role. Problem solvers who are excited about learning new technologies, coding scripts, and designing infrastructure in an automation-first environment will excel in this environment.\n\n\u2022 Develops detailed test cases by understanding requirements and specifications for power quality metering products \n\u2022 Defines proper test data sets, documents it and validate functional, performance, and load/stress tests \n\u2022 Identifies and develops automated tests by employing test framework and test methodologies \n\u2022 Contributes actively to test execution cycles for functional, regression, and system tests \n\u2022 Report test results and identify test failures in the defect tracking system. \n\u2022 Collaborate closely with development team and stakeholders for root cause analysis of defects \n\u2022 Strong verbal, documentation and interpersonal communication skills required. \n\u2022 Generate ideas and innovative solutions which will provide competitive edge to business products. \n--- \n \n \n \n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBachelor\u2019s/Master\u2019s degree in engineering in Electronics/Electrical \n--- \n\u2022 5+ years of experience in Verification \u0026 Validation of industrial software applications. \n\u2022 Experince working on embedded electrical products ,preferably Power Qaulity Meters , Hands-on on Meter testing etc. \n\u2022 Proven test development experience in test scripting programming languages at least 2+ years \n\u2022 Proven test automation experience on firmware/web applications on Python selenium. \n\u2022 Experience in developing detailed test cases from requirements and worked through STLC \n\u2022 Experience with industrial communication protocols is a must. \n\u2022 Experience in API testing will be added advantage \n \n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Expert in manual and automation test deliverables in validations of Electrical products following Agile framework. \n\u2022 Understands product requirements, follow verification plan, defines functional and non functional test cases for software/firmware applications. Ensures quality by releasing defect free products to field. \n\u2022 Proficient experience of Source Control software and Code Collaboration tools (Git, SVN, etc.); experience with Issue and ALM software (JIRA, TFS, etc.). \n\u2022 Experience in Data Driven testing.. \n\u2022 Experience writing/executing integration tests. \n\u2022 Understanding on various test automation frameworks for testing the web application in embedded space. \n\u2022 Experience with electrical data simulation tools like Omicron for manual/automation testimg of electricle devices. \n\u2022 Hands-on with basic Linux commands will be preferrable. \n--- \n\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills,Problem solving skills,Working in ambuiguity, process management. \n\u2022 Experience working with global teams and driving the projects for high customer satisfaction. \n\u2022 A high degree of aptitude, creativity, and self-direction is required. Work experience to deliver independently in tight deadlines.\n
