Senior Engineer - Vertical Transport System

WSP in the India is seeking a Consultant to Senior Consultant - Vertical Transportation (VT) to join our team in the India.

We're looking for a professional with at least 08+ years of experience in the Lift and Escalator Industry, specializing in Vertical Transportation Consultancy, Lift Design, and Traffic Simulation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in EN81 or EN115 codes, and UK building codes. Responsibilities include developing VT design concepts, calculating lift specifications, and attending client and design team meetings.

 

• Advanced knowledge and experience in utilizing lift traffic design software (Elevate), CAD, BIM, Revit, Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• To produce efficient VT solutions for the client.
• Responsible to produce technical reports to illustrate the design to the client and his representatives.
• Responsible for attending and coordination meetings with the project design team, VT supplier, and specialist subcontractors to ensure that the intended design is appropriately implemented.
• Liaison and coordination with all applicable Local Authority Departments and stakeholders to obtain approval at all stages of the project.
• Coordination with other Discipline Engineers (Architectural, Structural, Telecoms, IT, Mechanical and Electrical) as applicable.
• Participation in design review/clarification meetings and workshops and client presentations.
• Liaise with VT suppliers to ensure adherence to standards and scope of works required by client.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in designing vertical transportation systems for diverse building types and sectors, with a strong understanding of VT codes, standards, and local building regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, reviews, and deadlines, while adapting to changing demands.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment in delivering technical solutions.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage effectively with clients.
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken), with a focus on continuous learning and professional development.
