We are looking for an experienced Engineering Leader to lead and scale engineering across product, platform, integrations, data, and AI initiatives. The role combines technical leadership, people management, architecture, product delivery, and engineering strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a strong player-coach who can build high-performing engineering teams, drive scalable technology solutions, and partner closely with Product, Design, Operations, and Business stakeholders to deliver high-impact products and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering strategy and execution across product, platform, integrations, data, and AI initiatives.
• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams and technical leadership capabilities.
• Establish a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive hiring, performance management, career development, and leadership development across engineering teams.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, Operations, and Business teams to translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions.
• Own end-to-end engineering delivery for critical product and platform initiatives.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalable, secure, resilient, and cloud-native systems.
• Champion API-first and platform-first engineering practices and reusable technology capabilities.
• Act as a player-coach, contributing to architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and critical development initiatives.
• Provide technical direction and help teams resolve complex engineering and system-design challenges.
• Drive adoption of modern software development, testing, deployment, and engineering excellence practices.
• Lead the adoption of Generative AI and intelligent automation across products and internal workflows.
• Support development of AI-powered workflows, recommendation engines, conversational experiences, and operational tools.
• Establish appropriate standards for AI governance, observability, security, performance, and responsible adoption.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve product capabilities and differentiation.
• Scale systems to support millions of users, increasing transaction volumes, and evolving business requirements.
• Improve platform performance, resilience, monitoring, security, and compliance.
• Drive the design and operation of highly available, fault-tolerant, and reliable distributed systems.
• Establish engineering metrics and continuously improve delivery efficiency, system reliability, and product quality.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, technology leadership, engineering management, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams across multiple technology domains.
• Strong hands-on understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native platforms, and scalable application development.
• Experience driving end-to-end product and platform engineering initiatives in high-growth or complex technology environments.
• Strong understanding of modern engineering practices, system reliability, security, observability, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, intelligent automation, or AI-powered product capabilities is highly desirable.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical contribution and architecture-level decision-making.
• Strong experience partnering with Product, Design, Business, Operations, and senior leadership teams.
• Proven ability to build engineering culture, mentor leaders, develop talent, and drive organisational growth.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.
• Excellent understanding of engineering delivery, quality standards, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and long-term technology strategy.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
