Role: Senior Research Analyst - Investment Research (Private_Banking)
Purpose: Drive the potential new engagement with a Europe-based private Banking client. Work closely with the team and ensure high-quality output
Responsibilities:
- Tracking multiple stocks/sectors assigned by the client/in-house project manager.
- Writing initiation, earnings, and event notes on assigned companies.
- Identifying ongoing themes and forming informed opinions and views.
- Should be able to arrive at fair value of the companies using relevant valuation methodology.
- Working closely with an in-house team comprising associates, analysts, Leads, etc, on various ad-hoc tasks, which could vary from data gathering, preparing reports independently (sector, thematic, result updates), deep-dive secondary research to populate industry/company presentations, etc.
- Should be able to guide and mentor a team of juniors.
- Ensuring that the tasks assigned are completed within the deadline and ensuring top-quality output with a thoroughly conducted self-driven quality-check process.
- Maintain flexibility to learn new techniques and functionalities and gain exposure to various types of assignments.
- Contributing to SGA knowledge creation and ad hoc assignments.
- Working knowledge of databases like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet.
Experience & Skills:
- 3-6 years of experience in Equity research engagements and should be MBA/CFA/CA.
- Extensive experience in working on equity research assignments such as initiations, earnings notes, valuations, etc in a sector-agnostic role.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experienced in interacting directly with clients (call and e-mail, both), exchanging ideas and expressing opinions and conveying those thoughts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to independently handle clients.
- Basic knowledge of databases such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet, etc.
- Strong team player and willingness to learn.
