Senior Executive - Finance

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Accounting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards and NGO regulations.
  

• Oversee day-to-day financial transactions including payments, receipts, payroll, reimbursements, and bank reconciliations.
  

• Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of all accounts.
  

2. Budgeting & Reporting

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  

• Track expenditures against budgets, highlight variances, and recommend corrective measures.
  

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  

• Support in preparing donor-specific financial reports as per agreements.
  

3. Compliance & Audit

• Ensure adherence to statutory requirements (Income Tax, FCRA, GST, PF, ESI, etc. as applicable).
  

• Facilitate internal and external audits, provide required documentation, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  

• Maintain financial controls to prevent fraud, misuse, or misallocation of resources.
  

4. Donor & Project Support

• Ensure proper utilization and reporting of donor funds in line with agreements and organizational policies.
  

• Monitor project budgets and provide financial insights to program teams.
  

• Support in proposal budgeting for new grants and donor submissions.
  

5. Systems & Process Improvement

• Ensure effective use of accounting and financial management software.
  

• Recommend improvements in financial processes for better efficiency and transparency.
  

• Train and support junior finance staff in compliance and financial best practices.
