Position Summary

Job Title: System Engineer – Diesel Systems & Product application development

Experience:

  4-6 years of experience in Diesel Common Rail System Product /application development

Qualifications:

Engineering Degree in Mechanical/Automobile or related subject

We are seeking a skilled System Engineer with a strong background in Diesel engine systems and hands-on experience on product application development based on Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, integration, and validation of diesel powertrain systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Proven understanding of the principals of physics and mechanical engineering, with experience in problem solving with structured methodologies.

Experience with specifying test procedures, analysis, and interpretation of results.

Job Purpose

The job role involves the application development with DENSO Diesel Common Rail fuel injection equipment based on the requirements from customers.

The role will also involve the testing and validation of components, and sign-off the application based on customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities 1

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

Understand the customer requirements and agree the validation items as per design requirements specific to the applications with both internal and external stakeholders.

Execute validation test on engines and/or vehicles on-site to confirm the Diesel CRS product performance as per design.

Interpret test data using analytical tools and prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation to provide clear analysis and summaries for decision making.

Apply engineering standards, procedures, and methodologies to execute project activities.

Support planning, including detailed timing plans, management reviews and customer meetings.

Must take necessary counter measures by using a structured approach to identify root causes of problems and mechanisms behind them

Responsible for achieving the project objectives and targets on time by keeping Quality

Must have regular interaction with customer & internal to track the project based on the overall plan

Escalate the critical issues/ situation to the project management team along with counter proposal plan

Support team for getting approval on internal Quality Gates review at every stage of the development

Requirements but not limited to:

Understanding of detailed engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.

Able to perform validations by handling different equipment’s to record real-time data for data analysis

English language in both written and spoken to a strong professional level.

Personal and presentation skills, to enable liaison with internal teams and to external clients.

Able to operate effectively in a multi-national multi-lingual project environment.

Ability to understand & apply DFMEA methodology before each validations

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage several tasks at once.

Ability to use data processing and test automation software, such as Matlab or Uniplot/HIOKI , for collecting and processing data

Software tools experience
