Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior to join our Finance team, who would work within the internal finance team on responsibilities such as balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, fixed assets, account analysis, accounts payable, and ad hoc financial reporting. Demonstrate an intermediate level of accounting skills including analysis of accounts and account relationships.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Internal Client Service

  • Understanding of firms business, industry, products, services, and processes in order to develop suggestions for improvements.
  • Recognize expectations for deadlines, deliverables, firm protocol, etc.
  • Communicate with other team members and partners timely to assist and provide input for appropriate response.

2. Expertise and Technical Skills

  • Establish a track record of producing work that is highly accurate; demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a more advanced level of accounting skills including analysis of complex accounts and account relationships.
  • Ability to learn and work with the latest technologies in the industry, including Artificial Intelligence and automation.
  • Ability to conduct and document variance analysis and understand the role of analytical reviews.
  • Discuss and resolve accounting issues within the department specific to your assignments.
  • Understand the accounting principles and theory relevant to your individual assignments and level of responsibility.
  • General knowledge of GAAP.
  • Ability to express yourself clearly in written communications.

3. Firm Economics and Business Growth

  • Maintain a high level of organization in order to perform work effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to identify efficient methodologies and utilize them on assignments.
  • Understand importance of the budget and the monitoring of it; have basic understanding of realization.
  • Attend meetings and become active in outside organizations appropriate to your level.
  • Begin to recognize opportunities for expanding the department's role within the firm.

4. Professional and Personal Growth

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities and fulfill all commitments.
  • Begin to take an active role in month end close.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of public accounting experience with good communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in accounting, preferably MCOM/MBA.
  • Moderate Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer skills.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience with bookkeeping/private accounting.
  • Experience with cash management and bank reconciliations.
  • Handling the accounts payable process.
  • Reporting and account analysis.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies.
  • High attention to details.
  • Able to work independently and strong work ethic.
