GeneralMind builds AI Systems of Action for complex enterprise workflows. We deploy AI employees that automate messy operational handovers across supply chains - processing orders, validating invoices, coordinating suppliers, and handling exceptions directly on top of enterprise systems like SAP, Oracle, JDE, and Dynamics.

Tasks

Engineering & Architecture

• Take full ownership of frontend systems from scoping through delivery — you ask the right questions early, cut through ambiguity, and drive things to completion.
• Make and defend architectural decisions that balance shipping velocity with long-term maintainability; you know when to build a custom component and when to reach for a proven pattern.
• Build fast, accessible, and reliable interfaces with React and Next.js as your primary stack, with enough full-stack range to collaborate effectively across Python-based backend services.
• Evaluate AI tooling critically — you use it daily to move faster, but you understand that vibe coding is a liability, and you hold your AI-generated output to the same standard as everything else.

Technical Leadership

• Lead your squad during planning cycles: go deep on each ticket, challenge scope where needed, and make sure the team ships with clarity.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code review, pairing, and design discussions — not by micromanaging, but by setting a high bar.
• Proactively identify bottlenecks, technical debt, and systemic risks before they become emergencies.

Requirements

• Experience: 8+ years of hands-on frontend engineering experience, with a consistent track record of shipping production applications at scale.
• Technical depth: TypeScript and React are non-negotiable. Deep experience with Next.js (App Router, server components, data fetching patterns) is expected. Familiarity with modern styling (Tailwind CSS), state management (Zustand, TanStack Query), and component architecture (Radix UI, headless patterns) is a strong plus.
• Judgment: You understand the trade-off between a pixel-perfect custom component and a pragmatic library solution — and you know which the situation actually calls for.
• Ownership: You don't wait to be told. You identify what needs doing, flag it, and drive it to completion.
• Discipline: Detail-oriented to a fault. You can take over sprint and cycle planning for a squad and make it better — tighter tickets, cleaner scoping, fewer surprises.
• AI-native, not AI-dependent: You integrate AI tools naturally into your daily workflow for speed and leverage, but you review, reason about, and take full responsibility for everything you ship.
• Independent thinker: You form your own technical views, push back when something doesn't make sense, and don't need consensus to act.
• Supply chain domain experience: A meaningful plus — we work in a space where understanding warehouse workflows, inventory logic, or ERP-adjacent systems translates directly into better engineering decisions.
