About the Job

In this role, you will focus on developing version two of Doppio, our homegrown API Management solution which is based on Kong Open Source. Doppio has been developed based on the requirements and specifications of one of the global top 50 companies and we still communicate with them on a daily basis regarding bugs, enhancement requests and day-to-day management of the platform. Doppio is 100% Cloud based and has been designed to process exceptionally high volumes (at this moment up to 6 Billion requests per month) and to be always on. These extreme requirements are reflected in our attention to detail and the ambition to deliver all changes the first time right. You will be able to work from home most of the time but some office time is required (80-20) which is why we insist that you live in Chennai within a reasonable distance from our office.

Additional Information

This job post will remain active from the 4th of June until the 21st of June. The (live video) interviews will take place between the 10th of June and the 5th of July. The hiring process is being managed by Sandhiya Madhubalan (Head of Development and GM India and Peter van Gils (VP International). A final interview with William Sroussi (President and CEO) may be included.

Profile Description:

1. Capability to work both in a team and solo, based on weekly briefs and instructions. Proactive and independent input to problems and issues.

2. Handle a mixed workload of support tickets, short term activities and long term projects.

3. Communicate effectively both internally and externally. Direct communications over phone and email with our customers is required.

4. Comfortable with working in a team using Agile methodology - Kanban method.

5. Intelligent, creative, eye for detail, pro-active, disciplined and confident. Can do mentality.

6. Proficiency in written and oral English is compulsory

Required Competences:

· Frameworks: AngularJS, Vue.js, ExpressJS and Symfony (PHP).

· Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDb.

· Version Control: Github or Bitbucket

· Development environment: Docker and Kubernetes

· Proficiency in JavaScript and PHP is required.

· Some experience with basic Shell scripting and Python will help you gain plus points.

· Experience with Wordpress and Elementor greatly appreciated

· Experience with API Management solutions is mandatory

Required Qualifications:

· Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or similar field

· Three years of experience in a development role

· Active experience with API Management solutions
