About this Role

As a part of your daily duties, you will be working on the Predii platform including microservices, REST APIs, machine learning libraries, customized algorithms, and NoSQL datastores. You will be dealing with technologies like JavaScript, Angular 8, REST APIs, Nginx, and Centos. You will be expected to make test-driven development a part of your work routine. You will take the initiative in extending new features from scratch, and will also be responsible for making infrastructural decisions in terms of estimating and delivering quarterly goals. You’ll get a chance to proactively work on different problems in big data and an opportunity to work on the latest technology stack. Your role would be that of an individual contributor who will be expected to take ownership of certain product features and take initiatives to improve existing products.

As a member of the engineering team at Predii, you will be working with cross-functional teams, customers, and open-source communities. You will have the opportunity to take part in building new industry-changing services in our portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent education).
  

• 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  

• Experience in developing enterprise software systems.
  

• Proficiency in computer science fundamentals (Algorithms, Data Structures, OS).
  

• Experience working with modern UI frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, Ember) to build large, single-page applications.
  

• Experience building secure, responsive web interfaces
  

• Hands-on experience in either one of the following: J2EE, Spring, Java 8, Python, or Scala.
  

• Experience in understanding product requirements and developing software architectures and designs to bring them to life.
  

• Good understanding of the microservice architecture and design and REST APIs.
  

• Experience building secure, responsive web interfaces that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  

• Prior exposure to any one of the following NoSQL datastores: MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, MarkLogic, etc.
  

Additional Qualifications

• Good knowledge of conventional and cloud-based infrastructure, as well as basic networking.
  

• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  

• Ability to take part in a project from scoping requirements through the actual launch of the product.
