Senior Graphic Designer

Job Summary

The Senior Graphic Designer role is a proactive member of the Marketing and Communication Team and operates as part of the corporate level. The jobholder develops marketing collateral as per K&A guidelines, including brochures, leaflets, corporate presentations and newsletters. The Senior Graphic Designer creates as well design concepts and develops artwork for a variety of other K&A materials including environmental impact statements, capability statements, advertisements, web sites and other materials He shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the graphic design field and share his expertise and knowledge with other team members.

• Support Project Managers and project teams in preparing design solutions and presentation to clients, as needed
• Support Project Managers with the responding to client clarifications and technical issues, as needed
• Ensure client satisfaction with design deliverables

Key Responsibilities (Internal Business Process)

• Collect internally available data to support project execution, as needed
• Uphold and strive to innovate within the K&A brand standard guidelines and established operational procedures
• Enhance logos and artwork for business materials (e.g. business cards, stationery), as required
• Design graphics, layouts and visuals as per corporate policies and procedures for communication materials, including websites, intranet, social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter), marketing materials (e.g. brochures, leaflets), articles, publications, press releases, corporate presentation materials, newsletters, audiovisuals, etc.
• Utilize most appropriate software tools to produce marketing collateral
• Prepare layouts and determine style, size, and arrangement of illustrations and text
• Define the “look and feel” of communication materials, including fonts, paper quality, printing style and production techniques
• Design sophisticated PowerPoint presentations that incorporate builds, transitions, hyperlinking and animations
• Design and develop promotional materials for events such as job fairs
• Engage and coordinate with third party agencies to design graphics in case of overcapacity in-house
• Closely work with visualizers and 3D animators to create project themes, logos and branding materials
• Proactively recommend creative communications for marketing proposals.
• Ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality
• Proofread deliverables for spelling, grammar and layout, before printing or publishing
• Incorporate changes recommended by the Marketing Manager/ Project Managers into the final design

Key Responsibilities (Learning & Growth)

• Upload and update graphic design templates (e.g. newsletter templates) into the knowledge management repository according to K&A’s knowledge management policies and procedures
• Attend periodic training to further develop relevant skills
• Lead training sessions and provide publication and training material

Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field
• Excellent creative skills
• Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office suite, etc.
• Expert knowledge in graphic production process
• Experience with HTML and motion graphics is a plus.
• Strong time management skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Strong attention to details
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage

Overall Experience Required to Execute this Role

• 5+ years of industry experience in similar work environment or design firms

Specific Experience Required to Execute this Role

• 5+ years of experience in the graphic design field in a top tier regional / multinational company or graphic design firm,
• Exposure to global best practices and trends in graphic design
