More information is available at www.india.whirlpool.in\n\n## The team you will be a part of\n\nThe Hardware Engineering position is responsible for designing electronics, from requirements to production release embedded in Whirlpool Appliances. You will execute engineering tasks as part of cross-functional teams for new product development programs responsible for concepts, requirements, design, analysis and test. The specifics of this role are focused on design, analysis and test of electronic controls over a wide range of operational environments, markets and feature sets\n\n## This role in summary\n\n:Responsible for Design development and validation of HW control boards for Home appliances while collaborating with a cross functional team. participating in HW design reviews\n\n## Your responsibilities will include\n\n * Responsible for reviewing and understanding project requirements/ problems/design requirements.\n\n * Ensure the design(s) developed meet the DFX and other DVP\u0026R Attributes.\n\n * Design hardware solutions to drive system optimization, improve module/component design and enhance product reliability. \n\n * Electronic/Electrical Circuit Model/Simulation , Hands on experience with PSPICE, Cadence powerdc, LTSPICE.\n\n * Exposure to International Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA, BIS etc. will be preferred.\n\n * Research, assess, and adapt new technologies necessary for the ongoing evolution of our products. Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to conceive and design innovative technologies.\n\n * Expertise in Analog and Digital Circuit design - experience with OpAmps, Filters, Signal conditioning circuits, Power supply design (AC-DC, DC-DC), mixed signal design\n\n * Hands on experience with 16/32 bit microcontrollers selection, design and validation.\n\n * Communication protocols - SPI, I2C, UART and memory interfacing of Flash, EEPROM\n\n * Actively Participate on Technical Design Reviews to ensure Project is delivering per architecture\n\n * Capable of proper use of Whirlpool processes and tools for timely project delivery.\n\n * demonstrate effective use of Design for Six Sigma methodologies (DFMA, etc) including design for reliability with HALT testing.\n\n\n\n\n## Minimum requirements\n\nEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS\n\n| \n\n * B.E in Electrical, Electronics , Electronics and telecommunication Engineering.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred : Additional \n\n * Master\u2019s degree in Electrical/Electronics engineering\n\n * CDAC \u201cHW course\u201d pass out\n\n\n| \n\nAGE\n\n| \n\nNA\n\n| \n\nEXP\n\n| 3 to 6 Yrs \n---|---|---|---|---|--- \n| | | \n\n4-7Y\n\n| \n\nExample:-Automotive Industry/ Injection Molding Suppliers / Manufacturers\n\n-Target people from Application\n\nEngineering group \n \n## Preferred skills and experiences\n\n.Hands on experience on Pspice, Cadence, Mathcad is preferred.\n\n2\\. Experience in AC/ DC mixed signal design and validation.\n\n3\\. Experience in Power supply design and testing.\n\n4\\. FMEA, A3, 8D, DVP\u0026R,DFA, DFR tool exposure\n\n5\\. design experience for especially 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers based applications.\n\n6\\. Exposure to I2c, SPI, USB, UART communication protocol.\n\n7\\. Actively Participate in Technical Design Reviews to ensure Project is delivering per architecture.\n\n8\\. Experience with Design for Six Sigma methodologies (DFMA, etc) including design for reliability with HALT testing.\n\n9\\. Hands of experience in EMI EMC troubleshooting and certification.\n\n10\\. Hands on withPeripheral interfaces like RS232, RS485, UART, USART, Ethernet and USB. \n\n11\\. Exposure to International Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA, BIS etc. will be preferred.\n\n12\\.
