Job Description - Senior HR Manager

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 3500000 (ie INR 35 LPA)

Min Experience: 8 years

Location: Bengaluru

JobType: full-time

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Manager to lead and strengthen people operations in a high-growth, venture-backed startup environment. This role will play a critical part in shaping HR strategy, driving talent acquisition, and building scalable people practices aligned with rapid business expansion. Based in Bengaluru, the role requires close collaboration with leadership teams, venture stakeholders, and international partners, while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and a high-performance culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end HR strategy and execution aligned with business growth and startup maturity
  • Own and scale talent acquisition and recruitment strategies for technical, business, and leadership roles
  • Partner closely with founders, leadership teams, and venture stakeholders on workforce planning and organizational design
  • Manage relationships with international stakeholders, supporting global hiring, HR processes, and cultural alignment
  • Design and implement scalable HR policies, frameworks, and people programs suitable for a fast-growing startup
  • Drive employee lifecycle management including onboarding, performance management, engagement, and retention
  • Build and nurture a strong employer brand to attract high-quality talent in competitive markets
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and HR governance standards
  • Lead HR operations including compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and HR systems
  • Support leadership with talent insights, workforce analytics, and people-related decision-making
  • Coach and mentor managers on people management, performance conversations, and employee development
  • Create a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to startup or venture-backed environments
  • Strong understanding of venture capital–driven organizations and scaling people practices
  • Proven experience leading recruitment and talent acquisition in high-growth companies
  • Experience working with international stakeholders and supporting global teams
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in execution
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and work closely with founders
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using HR metrics to support decision-making
  • High ownership, adaptability, and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a people-first approach
