This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Java Developer based in India.
You will join a high-performing engineering team focused on building scalable, modern web applications used by large global audiences.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
You will contribute to both consumer-facing and enterprise-grade digital products with high performance requirements.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend engineers, QA, and product stakeholders.

Accountabilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot in production environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-quality web application features
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while following best engineering practices
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure optimal software quality and performance
- Contribute to architectural discussions and help improve system design and technical direction
- Research and adopt new technologies, sharing knowledge with the broader engineering team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience developing production-grade web applications in a team environment
- Strong expertise in Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot or Spring Cloud
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar technologies
- Solid understanding of web application architecture including APIs, routing, security, caching, and optimization
- Knowledge of relational databases and/or NoSQL databases
- Good understanding of core web principles such as HTTP, SSL, and web servers
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Nice to have: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), GraphQL, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, or Adobe Experience Manager
