High level requirements:

1. Provide development / support for QQL, PPS, CDM-1,
   CDM-2, Atlas and other custom Java applications in DGTM space.
   
2. Needs to be available until 12 noon eastern
   
3. Start date asap, 4o hours per week
   

Principle Duties and
Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java
  applications using modern Java frameworks and best practices supporting
  corporate functions, manufacturing, and integrations into CRM ecosystem.
  
• Partner with Business and IT stakeholders to deliver
  high quality technical solutions on-time and within budget
  
• Manage plans, timelines, and communication updates
  for several initiatives
  
• Build scalable APIs, integrate with heterogeneous
  systems, and optimize high-performance applications.
  
• Lead technical design discussions, drive
  architectural improvements, and support application modernization efforts.
  
• Manage the effort of Jr. Developers, including
  conducting code reviews (on-shore and off-shore)
  
• Build secure technical solutions and execute test
  plans and test cases (e.g. unit, integration, regression,
  performance) 
  
• Support code deployment across multiple environments
  and back-outs (as necessary)
  
• Support Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  processes
  
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve performance
  bottlenecks, and ensure reliability across distributed systems.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using
  Agile/Waterfall methodologies; contribute to continuous improvement and
  DevOps practices.
  
• Support lifecycle management, documentation, and
  deployment workflows using DevOps tools and industry standards.
  

Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities

• Hands-on development experience using Java
  versions 7/8/11/17 and JEEE technologies.
  
• Hands-on working experience across Windows/Linux,
  JBOSS. 
  
• Experience working with http (json/protobuf/xml
  payloads) , zeromq, haproxy technologies. 
  
• Strong experience in building APIs along with
  experience in integrating with applications built on other
  technologies.  
  
• Strong object-oriented design and development
  skills. 
  
• Adept with using ServiceNow, SharePoint, GitHub,
  SVN. 
  
• Familiarity with Octopus deploy tool nice to
  have. 
  
• Prior knowledge of using Azure DevOps for application
  lifecycle management is a plus. 
  
• Proficient with Microsoft tools including PowerPoint,
  Visio and Excel. 
  
• Stays current on current technology trends and able
  to assist in application rationalization and road mapping. 
  
• Skilled at technical architecture and developing
  application designs.    
  
• Adept at developing and implementing consistent
  development and testing practices. 
  
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving
  challenges, including web application performance items. 
  
• Analytical and comfortable data modeling and data
  architecture design.   
  
• Experienced with Agile and waterfall with a focus on
  delivery and continuous improvement.  
  
• Familiar with DevOps and CI / CD
  principles.  
  
• Positive attitude and contributor to great
  culture.  
  
• Solid working familiarity in manufacturing,
  preferably with Door and Window manufacturing.  
  
• Quick learner, adaptable, and able to manage multiple
  priorities.  
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication
  skills. 
  
• Strong proficiency
  across Windows/Linux, JBoss, and enterprise middleware
  environments.
  
• Deep experience
  with Spring, JSF, Struts, JDBC, and modern web
  application frameworks.
  
• Strong SQL fundamentals; capable of advanced data
  modeling and data architecture design.
  
• Proven experience handling HTTP
  integrations (JSON, protobuf, XML), ZeroMQ, HAProxy, and
  distributed messaging patterns.
  
• Strong object-oriented design skills and experience
  building clean, reusable, and scalable software components.
  
• Expertise in API development and integration across
  diverse platforms and technologies.
  
• Skilled in tools such
  as ServiceNow, SharePoint, GitHub, SVN; familiarity
  with Octopus Deploy is a plus.
  
• Experience working with Azure DevOps for
  application lifecycle management is a must.

• Background in manufacturing systems,
  especially Door & Window manufacturing environments.
