Qualcomm Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.\n\nJob Description:\n\nWe are looking for an individual who is both passionate about software development and has hands-on experience with embedded wireless development.\n\nThe role requires an engineer with good knowledge of WLAN specifications, motivated about delivery of high-quality software with data driven software development and prototyping approach.\n\nKnowledge of Qualcomm WLAN products (mobile or access point architecture) is desired. Experience in applying of machine learning technology in wireless domain would be a plus.\n\nThe current role requires:\n\n * WLAN specification knowledge. Understanding of QC WLAN architecture is a desired.\n\n * Designing and coding experience in multi-threaded embedded platform\n\n * Working with various stakeholders across Systems and Test charter to steer prototyping efforts\n\n * Ability to analyze, diagnose system level issues and explore various algorithms.\n\n * Exhibiting self-learning and continuous passion for exploring\n\n\n\n\nMinimal Qualifications:\n\n\\- Bachelor\u2019s degree in communication engineering, computer science, or related field.\n\n\\- 3-5 years\u2019 experience designing \u0026 developing high quality software\n\n\\- 3-5 years\u2019 experience with Programming and debugging in C.\n\n\\- Demonstrated experience in understanding legacy software systems and collaborating with cross functional teams during software development lifecycle\n\n\\- In depth understanding of algorithms, data structure, embedded software architecture\n\n\\- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (e.g. routing), especially on Linux and socket programming.\n\n\\- Good communication skills both verbal and written.\n\n\\- Experience diagnosing issues that span firmware, driver, and hardware, including use of logs, traces, register dumps, and firmware assertions/crash analysis\n\n\\- Hands-on experience working with embedded wireless firmware environments, including bring-up, feature development, and debugging across control and data paths\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\\- Master\u2019s degree in communication, computer science or relevant stream\n\n\\- Experience with wireless family of protocols (Wi-Fi, BT) theory and practice a plus\n\n\\- Experience in deriving software requirements from system specification and design to implementation to delivery\n\n\\- Experience in ideation leading to patent filing\n\n\\- Understanding of Hostapd, Supplicant, Android WLAN APIs is a plus\n\n\\- 1+ years\u2019 experience with application of ML algorithms to solve problems\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
