Hiring: Senior Logistics Executive

We are hiring for a Senior Logistics Executive on behalf of our client, a global leader in soft commodities trading.

Location: Nagavara, Bangalore

Experience: 4-6 year

Role Overview:

The Senior Logistics Executive will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient execution of contracts while adhering to all internal and external regulations. You will also act as a subject matter expert during migration processes and work closely with ITES and ERP systems. This role reports directly to the Head of Logistics based in Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain contract files
Ensure shipping instructions are provided accurately and on time
Coordinate shipping schedules with suppliers, agents, and buyers
Handle shipping issues such as delays or equipment shortages
Process shipping advice and update the system with accurate details
Review incoming shipping documents and manage freight invoices
Manage purchase invoices and provide payment instructions to the Finance team
Issue sale invoices and manage documentation with banks, buyers, and agents
Oversee warehousing and sampling instructions for unsold shipments
Manage weight discrepancies and issue final invoices for any differences
Handle rejected shipments and coordinate trucking to alternative locations

Required Skills:

Strong communication and presentation skills (both written & verbal)
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems (Trade & Logistics/Sales & Distribution)
Clear understanding of customer contract processes and international trade terminology

Knowledge:

Familiarity with agricultural commodities or FMCG business and trading
Experience with continuous improvement tools like Lean Six Sigma
Understanding of contract management, tariffs, and process documentation

Experience:

4-6 years of experience in logistics and contract management
Hands-on experience with international shipping documentation and managing carriers/forwarders
Experience working across European, Asian, or African markets
Migration process experience and familiarity with ERP systems are preferred
