Role: Senior Logistics Coordinator

Role Overview

Responsible for managing end-to-end logistics operations for clinical samples and materials, ensuring timely, compliant and cost-effective execution. The role will also manage the Logistics Coordinator team, coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics Operations

• 
  

  Oversee sample collection, movement, handover and delivery across locations.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure timely execution as per defined TATs, SLAs and SOPs.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor delays, exceptions and escalations and ensure timely closure.

  
  

2. Team Management

• 
  

  Manage and supervise the Logistics Coordinator team.

  
  


• 
  

  Allocate shifts, responsibilities and workloads.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor team performance, productivity and adherence to SOPs.

  
  


• 
  

  Train and support team members and handle operational escalations.

  
  

3. Vendor & Partner Management

• 
  

  Coordinate with logistics and collection partners for daily operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor vendor performance, service quality and SLA adherence.

  
  


• 
  

  Support vendor and route optimization to improve efficiency and cost.

  
  

4. Inventory & Material Management

• 
  

  Monitor availability and movement of logistics materials and consumables.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate replenishment and maintain accurate inventory records.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive materials where applicable.

  
  

5. MIS, Cost & Performance Tracking

• 
  

  Maintain logistics trackers, dashboards and operational MIS.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor TAT, pending cases, exceptions, vendor performance and logistics costs.

  
  


• 
  

  Support cost tracking, reconciliation and identification of cost-saving opportunities.

  
  

6. Cross-functional Coordination

• 
  

  Coordinate with Sales, Command Center, Laboratory, Finance and Operations teams.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure smooth communication and handovers across teams and shifts.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage urgent and high-priority logistics requirements.

  
  

7. Process Improvement

• 
  

  Ensure adherence to logistics SOPs and documentation requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.

  
  


• 
  

  Improve processes, workflows and tracking mechanisms as the business scales.

  
  

Candidate Profile

• 
  

  2–3 years of experience in logistics, healthcare logistics, sample logistics, supply chain or operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in team coordination or people management preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Good knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets and MIS.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and time-sensitive operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in diagnostics, pathology, healthcare or clinical sample logistics is an advantage.
