Our client is looking for a Senior Manager â Hand Tufted Carpet Production to lead manufacturing operations, optimize production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across the hand tufted carpet division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end hand tufted carpet production activities, ensuring output targets, quality benchmarks, and shipment timelines are consistently achieved.
- Manage shopfloor operations, workforce allocation, and production resources to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and implement corrective measures to minimize defects, rejections, and rework.
- Drive process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing production performance, quality consistency, and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate and implement innovative tufting and finishing methods to improve overall manufacturing outcomes.
- Develop and mentor production teams through structured training programs focused on technical skills, quality awareness, and productivity enhancement.
- Collaborate closely with planning, design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and production schedules.
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and manufacturing best practices.
- Track key production metrics and prepare regular performance reports for management review.
- Support department leadership in production planning, workforce development, and capacity expansion initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in hand tufted or machine tufted carpet manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of carpet construction, tufting techniques, finishing processes, and quality control standards.
- Proven experience managing large production teams within a textile or carpet manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success in improving production output, reducing quality issues, and achieving delivery commitments.
- Experience in workforce training, performance management, and shopfloor process optimization.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
