What are the Key Deliverables in this role?

Financial Outcomes

• Financial Planning: Partner with Category Heads and Marketing Managers to develop category financial plans and monitor the delivery of plan objectives


• Responsible for P&L delivery including topline and margin delivery


• Actionable Reporting: Analyze current and past trends of KPIs and develop sharper reporting metrics, set up and oversee processes for reporting


• Cost Savings/Efficiencies: Work closely with cross functional teams within (procurement, supply chain, sales finance) in analyzing & identifying avenues for cost and working capital efficiencies. The role requires solving complex ad-hoc problems that have impact on business and influencing stakeholders.


• Propose, lead and approve pricing decisions in line with commodity cost movements

Customer Service

• Lead monthly discussions with category head and team with insightful analysis on brand performance, sales (value and volume), margins, market share etc


• Close tracking of commodity trends and partnering with cross functional teams (commodity pricing councils) to take appropriate pricing decisions


• Present various P&L cuts (brand/ state/ channel/ variant) to enable review and decision making


• Support category teams with ad-hoc analysis


• Day to day category partnering

Internal Processes

• Drive continuous improvements in process and procedures and partner in all automation/ other projects to improve ways of working


• Lead automation initiatives pertaining to accounting and financial processes by partnering with Digital Teams


• Develop ways to ensure correct and accurate reporting around new businesses

Innovation and Learning

• Assist Category in NPD business case development/ range extensions through all the stages of Innovation process


• Undertake deep dive projects to identify any areas for cost savings/ efficiencies


• Identify and track key performance metrics

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

• Chartered Accountant (preferably first/ second attempt) / MBA from premier institute


• 3-5 years of post-qualification business partnering experience, preferably in FMCG environment


• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit


• Results-oriented mindset

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?

• Working knowledge of SAP, proficiency in MS-Excel


• Proactive thinking & analytical ability


• Strong interpersonal skills
