Senior Manager Digital, Salesforce Architect

The Senior Manager position is responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the overall Salesforce ecosystem and how the various application that get developed follow the architecture strategy within the organization. This role plays a crucial part in aligning technology solutions with business objectives, ensuring efficient integration of systems, and driving innovation through the development of scalable and sustainable applications in Salesforce ecosystem that can coexist with other application in organization.

This role plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's technological landscape, ensuring a robust and forward-looking architecture that supports business growth, agility, and innovation.

Financial Outcomes:

Architectural Strategy and Planning:

 Develop and communicate a comprehensive Salesforce architecture and application strategy that supports the organization's business goals and long-term technology vision.

 Collaborate with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.

 Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously evolve and enhance the architecture strategy.

Architecture Design and Standards:

 Define and maintain architectural standards, principles, guidelines, and best practices for application development across the organization.

 Design and create high-level architecture diagrams, system components, and data flow models to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

 Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools that fit the architectural vision and goals.

Risk Management and Governance:

 Identify potential architectural risks and provide mitigation strategies to ensure security, performance, scalability, and maintainability of application and integration solutions.

 Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data privacy standards, and internal governance policies related to application and architecture.

Customer Service

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, infrastructure, security, and business units to ensure architectural alignment and effective execution of projects.

 Serve as a subject matter expert in architectural matters, providing guidance and recommendations to development teams and stakeholders.

Internal Processes

 Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions that connect various applications, systems, and data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and real-time communication.

 Oversee the selection and management of Salesforce technologies, API management platforms, and other integration tools to support efficient and reliable integrations.

Complexity of the role:

 The role is complex as it involves managing various application that are built on Salesforce platforms, and support the organization's strategic objectives.

 Handling large data volumes and ensuring real-

time data flow between Salesforce and other downstream / upstream systems.

 Adherence to industry-specific regulations and standards, which can influence the architecture and integration strategy.

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?

 Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.

 Total experience of 12 to 15 years with a minimum of 8 years' experience in architecting Salesforce platforms. Should have prior experience as a Salesforce architect.

 Expert-level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, platform, Community Clouds, Heroku, and MuleSoft.

 Expert-level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable the achievement of the desired business outcomes

 Strong background in the design/development of large web-based systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure

 Salesforce Certification Preferred (Application & System Architect)

 FMCG/CPG/Retail/Telecom experience will be preferred

 Must have excellent communication skills to work across multiple hierarchy levels within the organization

 Strong understanding of project management nuances.
