• Manage Functions within Product team, broad scope and high impact to the PEP and is recognized as expert. Will be part of the PEP and provide technical leadership to the entire team.
• Manage team of 5 -10 engineers and provide Product solutions with Customer centric approach.
• Responsible for team Operations, OTD/FTY of deliverables.
• Activities contributing to the design and development of PE product and solutions for Global/Local business needs.
• Includes activities linked to Engineering & Design, Development , RCA’S and technical improvement of Existing & New products
• Drive Lean mindset to provide optimum technical solutions to deliver on time with right quality & cost (SQDC)

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Execute design and analysis, evaluation of  Power Electronics Product design and project engineering.
• Responsible for Stack design, development  and engineering; Evaluation of  Electrical / Electronic components & Sub systems, Packaging, and other hardware systems.  
• Lead engineering practices and business improvements initiatives within the group & business
• Familiar with LV/MV/SFC/H2R drive systems, fault calculations and sizing , protection components like contactors, isolators, circuit breakers and basics of arc flash analysis.
• Work closely with CFT to optimize overall solution.
• Understand various standards relevant to design NEMA/IEC/UL standards.
• Lead & Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs
• Identify opportunities for engagement, development, cost down, VAVE, and IP generation.
• Collaborate with global engineering & manufacturing sites.
• Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
• Ability to Hire , Mentor and develop talents.

Qualifications / Requirements:   

• Master’s or Bachelor degree in Electronics or Electrical Engg or Equivalent    from accredited college / university
• 10 – 15 years of relevant experience
• Preferred experience/knowledge in Product / Electrical design
• Proficiency in ETAB,  Simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSCAD, PSPICE etc.
