Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.


Job Purpose: Construction Warehouse / Stores Lead is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations for categories such as civil materials, / piping materials/ E&I equipment/ common services, etc. This role involves strategic oversight and coordination to ensure effective inventory management, efficient material receipt and storage, optimal inventory utilization and disposal, and adherence to risk and compliance standards in the assigned category.




Responsibilities

Construction Warehouse & Stores Lead-PETCHEM


Inventory Planning and Control:


Optimize stock levels and minimize waste by developing and implementing inventory control systems to ensure material availability across assigned categories.


Ensure the accuracy of inventory records by coordinating regular audits and resolving discrepancies between physical and electronic inventory.


Improve inventory management and usage by monitoring and categorizing inventory based on criticality, shelf life, and movement, and providing strategic input.


Material Receipt and Storage Management:


Ensure compliance with established guidelines by overseeing the receipt and storage of materials and maintaining accurate documentation for all inbound deliveries.


Maintain efficient storage operations and safe handling practices by managing the organization and preservation of materials within the warehouse.


Ensure timely and accurate distribution by coordinating the deployment of inventory items to end users while maintaining updated inventory records.


Inventory Utilization and Disposal:


Ensure optimal financial recovery and compliance with organizational policies by supervising the identification, liquidation, and disposal of non-moving or surplus inventory.


Adhere to the Delegation of Authority (DoA) by managing the process of asset disposal, including scrapping or writing off assets, and obtaining necessary approvals.


Address inventory discrepancies and resolve issues related to inventory utilization by implementing corrective actions and managing shelf life.


Risk and Compliance Management:


Mitigate risks associated with inventory control, material storage, and disposal by identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing inventory-related risks, and developing and implementing strategies.


Maintain compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls by monitoring inventory management activities.


Support audit processes by providing documentation, addressing non-conformities, and implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance.


Team Management:


Lead and manage the warehouse/stores team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Oversee the performance of internal resources and third-party vendors, driving accountability and ensuring effective resource management.


Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills, support career growth, and align with strategic goals.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Science/ Commerce/ Supply Chain Management/ Business Administration/ related field


Certification or diploma in inventory/materials management is desirable.


Work Experience (Range of years):


15 to 20 years of relevant work experience in managing stores, inventory management, and scrap management, including experience in handling project/O&M stores.


Familiarity with inventory classification & control methods, the 5S process, and SAP Material Management Module/SD module for waste and scrap management.
