Jabi Trucking is a U.S.-based trucking and heavy-civil company with operations across multiple states. Our India division runs the entire U.S. backend engine — from project payroll and compliance to dispatch coordination, billing, and reporting.
We operate with the same pace, precision, and discipline as the U.S. field — and every team member is expected to perform at that standard. This is not a call-center environment — it’s a high-performance, accountability-driven operations command center
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Finance & Operations Manager to lead the U.S. project payroll reporting function for public works and heavy-civil projects. You will own the entire reporting process — from payroll data validation to portal submissions — ensuring every report is accurate, compliant, and on time.
This is a hands-on leadership position that demands strong systems thinking, operational discipline, and communication clarity with U.S. stakeholders. You’ll build and enforce processes, lead a performance-oriented team, and ensure zero reporting errors or delays.
🔹 You must be extremely fluent in English — both spoken and written. You will regularly communicate with U.S. teams, clients, and agencies on live calls and written reports. Clear, confident, and precise communication is mandatory for this role.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
6–8 years in payroll, accounting, or finance operations for U.S. or international clients.
2–3+ years of experience leading teams (5–15 members).
Deep understanding of rate tables, job codes, classifications, and U.S. project payroll systems.
Very fluent English communication skills — must speak and write clearly, confidently, and professionally on U.S. client calls and reports.
Advanced knowledge of:
Excel / Google Sheets: lookups, pivots, error checks, and validation formulas.
Bonus: Power Query, Google Apps Script, or automation tools.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
High attention to detail, precision, and structure under pressure.
Proactive, ownership-driven leadership style — able to enforce accountability and process discipline
Key Responsibilities
Own the full U.S. project payroll reporting cycle: data intake (paystubs, timecards, dispatch logs) → validation → packaging → portal submission.
Create, maintain, and enforce SOPs & checklists to ensure every submission is consistent, compliant, and audit-ready.
Lead and manage a high-performance team: hire, train, assign, monitor, and evaluate staff against daily SLAs and KPIs.
Oversee master calendars and due-date trackers — prevent submission delays and clear blockers proactively
Coordinate cross-functionally with HR/Driver Compliance, Dispatch, Billing/AR, and U.S. project leads to maintain alignment and eliminate gaps.
Publish weekly status reports summarizing submissions, pending items, risks, and corrective actions.
Use advanced Excel/Google Sheets tools (lookups, pivot tables, data validation, conditional checks) to reduce errors and increase transparency.
Continuously improve reporting efficiency and accuracy using automation, Power Query, or Apps Script where possible. Maintain clean documentation and file structure across all reports, ensuring full audit readiness at all times.
Communicate directly with U.S. finance and project teams — clearly, concisely, and professionally in every interaction
