Job Purpose: The Lead - Electrical ensures optimal performance and safety of electrical systems, leading the team and coordinating projects. They manage resources, compliance, and performance monitoring to minimize downtime and enhance overall plant efficiency.



Responsibilities

Safety and Compliance:



  • Ensure electrical work complies with industry standards and regulations. Conduct safety audits to identify and address hazards, maintaining a safe working environment.


Digitalization/Data-Driven Decision Making:



  • Overseeing the implementation of digital tools and smart technologies to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.


Organizational & Culture Building:



  • Fostering a collaborative, agile culture that aligns with company values, driving employee engagement, and ensuring organizational growth and development.


Leadership in Change Management:



  • Leading effective change management strategies to guide the organization through transitions, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.


Manage Electrical Network Operations:



  • Oversee the operation of the electrical network, including GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), HT (High Tension), and LT (Low Tension) distribution systems, ensuring reliable and efficient power distribution for solar facilities.


Ensure System Maintenance:



  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of electrical equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, prevent outages, and address potential issues proactively.


Resource Management:



  • Optimize the use of materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance. Monitor inventory and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely supply replenishment.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:



  • Track system performance and team efficiency. Use data to identify trends and improvements, and report to senior management on achievements and recommendations.


Energy Innovation:



  • Develop energy-efficient electrical systems that integrate renewable sources and smart grids.


Cost-Effective Power:



  • Drive cost savings by optimizing energy consumption and implementing predictive maintenance.


Team Development:



  • Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead productive teams, and mentor for growth.


People Development:



  • Leading from the front & being accountable for the professional growth of your teams. Developing/conducting/promoting training & learning initiatives to enhance skills & empowering them to take ownership of key processes and decisions.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is essential. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems would be advantageous. Strong academic foundation in electrical engineering principles, power systems, and electrical safety is crucial.


Work Experience (Range of years):



  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in electrical maintenance and operations within a large-scale industrial environment. Proven track record in managing electrical projects, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing electrical systems for efficiency and reliability. Demonstrated ability to lead electrical teams and drive operational excellence.
