WE’RE HIRING | Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer – STP / Wastewater Treatment

Designation: Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Experience: 8–15 Years

Industry: Wastewater / Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in STP / wastewater treatment mechanical design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mechanical system design, equipment selection, engineering calculations, drawings, vendor coordination, and site support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for wastewater treatment plants

• Prepare equipment, piping and mechanical layouts

• Design/select Pumps, Blowers, Mixers, Screens, Sludge Handling & Aeration Systems

• Evaluate vendor technical specifications and review supplier drawings

• Prepare equipment technical datasheets

• Perform pump sizing, pipe sizing, flow, pressure loss & power calculations

• Prepare/review GA Drawings, P&IDs, Equipment Layouts & Fabrication Drawings

• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Process Engineers and Contractors

• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and testing
