Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for an expert in customized machine designing for heavy industrial (Pulp & Paper) machinery/equipment. (Job location Kolkata, India) Job Responsibilities Design execution of a designated Paper Machine (PM) section for a new and rebuild paper machine projects. Prepare machine layout, BoMs, drawings and manuals. Technical co-ordination with customers during projects; technical clarification/troubleshooting for operating machine, as and when required. Technical co-ordination with Voith Paper global locations, integration of key components from various sources. Calculation and selection of various internal/external purchased parts (standard/customized); prepare/check order drawings for customized purchased parts; supplier document evaluation and approval. Prepare/check drawings of manufactured parts and assemblies. Prepare/check Bill of Material as a combination of manufactured parts, purchased parts and standard parts. Ensure ‘first-time right’ design; maintain project timeline; achieve savings on estimated project design hours. Lead product optimization/development with local fit solutions. Manage technical clarification to suppliers, manufacturing shops, assembly shops, internal departments, on-site colleagues. Manage multiple complex projects at the same time Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and time Qualifications Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 10 years relevant experience in manufacturing machines design. Expert-level experience in Machine Design in the heavy manufacturing industry. Design of Pulp & Paper Industrial machines will be preferred. Excellent understanding of Mechanical Drawings, associated Manufacturing & Assembly Processes, andengineering materials. 2D and 3D CAD tools e.G.
