Title: Senior NetSuite Functional Consultant

Summary of Role

Serve as a Senior NetSuite Functional Consultant owning end-to-end solution design and ensuring alignment with business strategy and best practices. Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, optimize processes, and translate needs into scalable system configurations and enhancements. Lead NetSuite initiatives including implementations, upgrades, and releases; oversee testing, UAT, and change management; and collaborate with developers on integrations and customizations. Establish governance and standards, mentor junior team members, resolve complex issues, and proactively drive continuous system improvement. This role will be the stakeholder’s trusted NetSuite resource, develop Saved Search, Reports, and AI tools that accelerate monthly activities and catch errors, and drive project delivery to completeness ensuring high stakeholder satisfaction. This role will proactively develop and train others in processes that improve Business Systems Stability.

How You’ll Succeed

NetSuite Functional Leadership 

-Act as the primary functional authority for NetSuite across all supported modules 

-Own end-to-end solution design, ensuring alignment with business strategy and best practices 

-Lead requirements discovery, solution validation, and functional decision-making 

-Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts or administrators 

Business Partnership & Process Optimization 

-Collaborate with business leaders to understand current processes and future goals 

-Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve controls, and enhance reporting 

-Translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications 

-Serve as a trusted advisor on how NetSuite can best support operational and financial outcomes 

System Configuration & Enhancements 

-Design and oversee NetSuite configurations including workflows, forms, roles, dashboards, and saved searches 

-Partner with developers on Suite Script, integrations, and advanced customizations 

-Review and approve functional designs for enhancements and third-party solutions 

-Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and well documented 

Project & Release Management 

-Lead NetSuite initiatives such as implementations, upgrades, and module rollouts 

-Coordinate testing strategies, UAT execution, and release readiness 

-Manage prioritization of enhancements and defect resolution 

-Support change management and end-user adoption 

Governance, Support & Continuous Improvement 

-Establish and enforce NetSuite standards, documentation, and best practices 

-Serve as escalation point for complex production issues 

-Monitor system performance, data integrity, and compliance needs 

-Stay current on NetSuite features and proactively recommend improvements 

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field 

-8+ years of hands-on NetSuite functional experience 

-Deep knowledge of core NetSuite modules (e.g., Financials, ARM, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Warehousing) 

-Proven experience leading NetSuite projects or functional teams 

-Strong ability to translate business requirements into system solutions 

-NetSuite certifications (e.g., Certified ERP Consultant, Suite Foundation 

-Strong understanding of NetSuite ARM  

-Strong understanding of NetSuite Advanced Inventory  

-Similarity with Zone or Zuora 

-Expert in writing saved search and analysis 

-Experience with multi-entity, global, or complex operational environments 

-Exposure to integrations (CRM, WMS, billing platforms, BI tools) 

-Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, SaaS, or distribution environments 

-Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities 

-Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills 

-Strong documentation and process-mapping skills
