Senior NPD Associate

We are seeking a driven Senior New Product Development (NPD) Associate to lead end-to-end product innovation—from concept creation through successful market launch. This role focuses on identifying consumer and market opportunities, developing scalable and compliant products, and collaborating cross-functionally with Quality, Production, Procurement, Packaging, and Marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate consumer insights, market trends, and business goals into viable new product concepts.
• Develop, refine, and optimize product formulations with a focus on taste, aroma, appearance, shelf life, cost efficiency, and scalability.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive NPD documentation, including formulations, process flows, and scale-up reports.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard raw materials and suppliers in collaboration with the procurement team.
• Plan and execute laboratory trials and pilot batches; document learnings and drive continuous improvements.
• Support manufacturing teams during initial commercial production runs and troubleshoot scale-up challenges.
• Coordinate with Quality and Compliance teams to ensure ingredient approvals, regulatory compliance, shelf-life validation, and accurate labeling/claims.
• Own product costing, BOM development, and adherence to delivery timelines.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Working knowledge of FSSAI regulations and food compliance requirements.
• Experience in New Product Development within food or FMCG environments.
• Proficiency in NPD documentation, formulation records, and process documentation.
• Understanding of food technology principles and ingredient functionality.
• Ability to manage pricing, costing, and BOMs effectively.
