Senior PHP Manager

Green Fields Ltd, a progressive software solutions company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Manager to join and lead our dynamic web development team. The individual will strategize and execute technical plan for our projects while ensuring high performance and accessibility for our suite of applications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead a team of PHP developers to design, develop, and maintain our platforms.
• Perform code reviews, promote industry’s best practices to ensure project efficiency and quality.
• Constantly evaluate and integrate the latest development technologies to enhance efficiency and creativity within the team.
• Work closely with project managers and designers to ensure end product matches desired design.
• Define and implement databases structures and APIs that ensure speed and efficiency.
• Plan resources and define timelines to deliver software projects.
• Identify and act on opportunities to improve performance and stability of our systems.
• Create and maintain documentation regarding system functionality and development processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with PHP along with knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony.
• Demonstrated experience leading a development team in a managerial role.
• Experience in designing and implementing web application architecture.
• Deep understanding of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
• Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Understanding of basic cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and team-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
