About the role:
As an Engineer on the Digital Health Platform team, you’ll aid in the development of innovative new solutions to significant problems in the healthcare industry. You are a highly motivated engineering professional who can help us build our capabilities and services. You want to enable application teams to produce high-quality, maintainable software efficiently. You embrace agile and aren’t afraid to tell us what we're doing right and what areas we can improve on. Above all, you are focused on the success of the team and the outcomes of our customers.
Your responsibilities:
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to assist on solution design
Implement defined solution design, including cloud infrastructure and resource provisioning
Ensure appropriate platform security and follow defined compliance processes
Implement new features based on customer requests
Embrace innovation—research and implement new capabilities to improve efficiencies, customer experience, and platform offerings
Assist internal platform users with problem resolution
What we're looking for:
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years IT experience
Experience with installation & configuration of Kubernetes
Experience with IT infrastructure security and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines: Concourse, GitLab, BitBucket, Jenkins, etc.
Minimum of 5 years with IaaS offerings: AWS, Azure, Google
Minimum of 2 years Solutioning, Designing, and implementing applications/APIs
Experience in:
Large-scale distributed software design and development experience
Utilization of Elastic Runtime Environments, accessing and troubleshooting and
solutions recommendations
One or more of the following languages: Spring-Java, Go, NodeJS, .net, and Python
Migration from Monolithic application development to micro-services
Containerization and 12 factor app delivery
Alerting, Logging and Monitoring solution configuration
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to present ideas to an audience with a broad range of experience
Ability to lead and educate/train others
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices
Experience developing software within a regulated environment in the medical industry
Familiarity with common healthcare systems integrations and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with relational and non-SQL, Event Driven Architectures/messaging and process orchestration
