Senior Design Engineer - Plumbing
A. Educational Qualification:
B.E. Mechanical/ B.E Civil/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Diploma in Civil Engineering.
B. Experience:
1. 7-10 years of experience.
2. Experience in hotels / hospitals / office buildings / IT fit-outs/ Apartments/ Industries/ Residential/ Commercial
buildings.
C. Knowledge:
1. Good exposure to water supply and distribution.
2. Knowledge about system design as per NBC, SP 35, and UPC guidelines.
D. Software Knowledge:
Mandatory: Auto CAD, Proficiency in MS Office.
Revit MEP Added Advantage
E. Functional Skills Requirements:
1. Design Skills â Requirements collection, Preparation of Load Estimate, Design basis report, space planning,
plumbing systems like sanitary fixtures, water supply, drainage, rainwater & storm water management, RO
Plant, and Pumps, centralized hot water systems â Solar/ Heat pump, Sizing and designing of
water/Sewage treatment plants.
2. Drawing Skills â 2D drawings â water supply and drainage, schematic / single line drawings, detailed
sections / elevations as applicable, UG sump/ OHT drawing with puddle flange detail.
3. Documentation â Preparation of Material Take of Sheets, Bill of Quantities, Technical specifications,
budgetary estimates.
4. Project Execution â Responding to RFIs, Quality Reports, Material and drawing approvals.
5. Preparing water load estimate, water balance sheet, and arriving at storage requirement. Responsible for the
project from the design stage to execution and completion of the project at site.
6. Monitoring the progress of site at work and reporting the same to management and client as required.
