Senior Product Designer 

The Senior Product Designer is a high-impact individual contributor responsible for owning design work end-to-end — from early problem framing through research, prototyping, and delivery. This role brings both craft and strategic thinking to complex SaaS product challenges, producing work that is well-reasoned, user-validated, and ready to build. 

The Senior Product Designer has a strong grasp of the team's vision and product objectives, and consistently delivers designs that connect user needs to business outcomes. They understand how to design products that incorporate AI features — not just use AI tools to speed up their own process — and bring curiosity about emerging methods to how they work. 

As a senior voice on the team, they actively contribute to design culture through mentorship and critique. 

What You'll Do 

Design & Craft 

• Own the design of complex, multi-step, cross-platform user flows from concept through high-fidelity prototype. 

• Produce well-structured wireframes, interaction models, mockups, and production-ready specs that engineering teams can act on confidently. 

• Design AI-native product experiences where required — conversational interfaces, predictive UI patterns, AI output and error states — with appropriate rigor and user validation. 

• Apply AI design tools — generative UI exploration, AI-assisted prototyping, rapid iteration — to improve the quality and velocity of your work. 

• Contribute meaningfully to the team's design system: consuming components correctly, flagging gaps, and proposing additions where patterns are missing. 

Research & Validation 

• Plan and run usability testing and user research sessions; synthesize findings into actionable design recommendations. 

• Collect and use qualitative and quantitative data to validate design decisions and clearly articulate how research shaped the outcome. 

• Work comfortably with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel) to pull relevant data, identify user behavior patterns, and ground design rationale in evidence. 

• Identify friction points and usability gaps in existing product experiences; propose and drive validated solutions. 

Collaboration & Communication 

• Communicate design decisions clearly and confidently to stakeholders, product managers, and engineers at all stages of the design process. 

• Participate actively in design reviews and critique; give and receive feedback with clarity and purpose. 

• Partner closely with engineering to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation. 

• Stay current on competitive products, design trends, and emerging AI tools; bring relevant insights back to the team. 

Mentorship 

• Provide structured, thoughtful feedback to junior and mid-level designers on their work and process. 

• Model strong design habits: rigorous problem framing, research-grounded decision-making, and clear documentation. 

Experience & Technical Background:  

• 5+ years of product design experience in B2B or enterprise SaaS environments. 

• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of product design work — strong problem framing, research integration, and polished execution. 

• Deep proficiency in Figma, including components, prototyping, and design system workflows. 

• Solid experience with usability testing and user research methods — you know how to plan a study, run it, and translate findings into design action. 

• Demonstrated data literacy: comfortable working with product analytics to inform and validate design decisions. 

• Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting and defending design decisions to cross-functional partners. 

• Familiarity with front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS concepts) sufficient to design within engineering constraints. 

Preferred 

• Experience designing AI-powered product features (conversational UI, predictive interfaces, AI error and confidence states). 

• Hands-on use of AI tools in a design context — generative exploration, AI-assisted research synthesis, or prompt engineering for design workflows. 

• Experience contributing to or maintaining a shared design system at scale. 

• Background in fintech, payments, or financial operations products.
