Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil construction materials and subcontracted works.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to support uninterrupted project execution.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve the best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and project requirements.

Tendering & Vendor Finalization

  • Manage the tendering process, including floating RFQs, vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and vendor selection.
  • Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of vendor quotations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders during vendor finalization and procurement approvals.
  • Ensure procurement documentation is maintained accurately.

Cost Control & Budget Management

  • Establish procurement cost benchmarks aligned with project budgets.
  • Monitor material price trends and recommend cost-effective procurement strategies.
  • Coordinate with Quantity Surveying and Finance teams to ensure procurement activities remain within approved budgets.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors for civil construction materials.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance.
  • Conduct vendor performance evaluations and maintain an approved vendor database.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain complete procurement records for audit and internal review.
  • Monitor procurement risks and implement corrective actions where required.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Project, Site, QS, and Finance teams to ensure smooth material planning and supply.
  • Track purchase orders and material delivery schedules.
  • Provide regular procurement reports and updates to senior management.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of civil construction materials and procurement processes.
  • Experience in tendering, procurement planning, and cost optimization.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, or procurement software.

Education

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).

Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in procurement for civil construction projects.
  • Must have worked on high-rise residential, luxury apartment, villa, or commercial projects.
  • Proven experience in procurement planning, vendor management, tendering, and material sourcing from project initiation to completion.
