Senior Python Backend Developer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Backend Developer with expertise in building scalable APIs,
microservices, and AI-powered backend solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have strong
hands-on experience in Python, REST APIs, Azure cloud services, and modern AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI,
Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric, and Copilot technologies. This role involves designing intelligent API
orchestration layers, integrating AI services, and developing secure, enterprise-grade backend applications.
Key Responsibilities
API & Microservices Development
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance REST APIs.
• Build Python-based microservices using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
• Develop event-driven architectures for enterprise applications.
• Build intelligent API orchestration layers that integrate AI agents, tools, and business workflows.
AI & Azure Integration
• Integrate and implement Azure AI services including Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI Service.
• Implement Microsoft Copilot integrations, including Copilot Studio and Agent-based AI solutions.
• Work hands-on with Microsoft Fabric to support AI-enabled data and analytics workflows.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product teams to build AI-enabled solutions.
Cloud Deployment & Operations
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Utilize Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure API
Management.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and API security best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.
Mandatory Skills
✓ 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.
✓ Strong expertise in FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.
✓ Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
✓ Strong understanding of event-driven architectures.
✓ Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry.
