About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with Databricks expertise to join our BSR (Billing System Replacement) team. The role is critical for our client AssetMark, who are modernizing their billing platform and moving towards a data-first architecture.
This is a full-time ODC-based role, with strict five-day office presence required due to client compliance. Working hours are aligned to 1 PM – 10 PM IST, supporting overlap with U.S. stakeholders.
The right candidate will be highly skilled in Python and Databricks while also capable of understanding legacy codebases built on .NET and Azure.
Key Responsibilities
· Build and optimize data pipelines on Databricks using Python, PySpark, and Delta Lake.
· Work with client stakeholders and offshore leads to design scalable data engineering solutions.
· Analyze and understand existing .NET/Azure backend systems, ensuring smooth interoperability.
· Participate in Agile ceremonies, deliver high-quality code, and support knowledge transfer.
· Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and product teams in an ODC setup.
· Ensure compliance with data governance and security guidelines.
Required Skills
· 7+ years of professional development experience.
· Strong hands-on expertise with Python, Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake.
· Experience with SQL-based ETL workflows and data engineering best practices.
· Exposure to .NET (C#) and Azure Cloud (secondary skills).
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills to work with global teams.
Good to Have
· Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or equivalent orchestration tools.
· CI/CD exposure for data pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
· BFSI/WealthTech domain exposure.
Engagement Details
· Joining Timeline: Within 2 weeks (as per client mandate).
· Initial Role: 4-week buffer period, followed by billable allocation.
· Work Environment: ODC-based, 5 days in office (no hybrid/remote).
