Role: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Experience: 9–11 Years
Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall QA strategy, including test planning, risk assessment, and release quality gates.
• Analyze business requirements and user stories to design comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test plans using QMetry or similar test management tools.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across multiple applications.
• Build, maintain, and enhance robust test automation frameworks from scratch using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira, and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and verification.
• Lead regression testing efforts to ensure new releases do not impact existing functionality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and establish QA best practices, coding standards, and testing guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes, automation coverage, and overall software quality.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to promote a quality-first culture across the organization.

Required Skills

• 9–11 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Strong experience in creating test strategies, test plans, and quality metrics.
• Hands-on experience building automation frameworks from scratch using Java/Python/C#.
• Expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, or equivalent.
• Strong API testing experience using Postman, REST Assured, or Swagger.
• Experience with Jira, QMetry, or equivalent test management tools.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
