About the team: Paytm App tech team is at the forefront of this transformational journey, and is responsible for Paytm Main App, Paytm web and mobile web across platforms. We have experienced and diversified engineers, specialized in technologies such as Android, iOS and React. App team is responsible for all implementation and delivery of Paytm features including growth and campaign related tasks, which is a key driver for Paytm's growth. This team is also responsible for developing many common tools, libraries and frameworks which are used across different apps internally within Paytm ecosystem i.e Paytm Merchant App(P4bApp), Paytm Mall , Paytm Money, Golden Gate app (the FSE ecosystem),and other supported apps etc.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA/ Sr QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Paytm app products through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will work closely with the development and product teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Execution:

Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure software quality.

Identify, log, and track bugs or defects using appropriate tools.

Automation Testing:

Design and implement automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.

Hands-on experience with Java language (Must have).

Hands on experience on - Selenium, Java, Maven, TestNG, Appium, Bitbucket, PostMan, Charles etc.

Continuously improve and maintain the automation test framework.

Experience with API Automation framework development & testing.

Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

Collaboration:

Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure the overall quality of the product by conducting thorough testing across different Mobile platforms (Android/ IOS).

Validate that the product meets business requirements and user expectations.

Review and analyze user stories and acceptance criteria to develop test cases.

Reporting and Documentation:

Document and report test results, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Prepare and present QA status reports during team meetings.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of QA documentation, including best practices and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3-4 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.

Proficiency in using test management tools (e.g., Jira, wiki) and defect tracking systems.

Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).

Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
