Job Description - Senior Quality Engineer

• Monitor FPY, internal rejections, and rework at shopfloor level.

• Support implementation of quality standards, SOPs, and control plans.

• Conduct in -process and final inspections as per defined criteria.

• Support maintenance of ISO 9001–based QMS documentation.

• Assist in internal audits, external audits, and closure of NCs.

• Ensure adherence to procedures and quality records on shopfloor.

• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation.

• Track complaint closure status and effectiveness.

• Assist in supplier quality evaluation and incoming inspection.

• Support supplier NCRs, follow -ups, and corrective actions.

• Participate in supplier audits as required.

• Support DFMEA / PFMEA / Control Plan activities for new or modified products.

• Ensure quality readiness during trial builds and pilot runs.

• Maintain quality KPIs using ERP / Excel/dashboards.

• Prepare reports on rejections, COPQ elements, and trends.

• Highlight deviations and support improvement actions.

• Reduction in internal rejections, scrap, and rework

• Timely closure of customer complaints and NCRs

• Improved process discipline and audit compliance

• Effective implementation of corrective and preventive action

• Internal Rejection Rate

• First Pass Yield (FPY)

• Customer complaint closure TAT

• Supplier rejection rate

• Audit NC closure compliance

• Scrap & rework reduction

Requirements

• Hands -on manufacturing quality experience (Assembly / Machining)

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 7 QC tools, RCA, CAPA

• Exposure to FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP basics

• Good analytical skills and documentation discipline

• Ability to work closely with Production, Stores, and Engineering
