Role Overview

·        We are looking for an experienced and highly
skilled Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant to join our SAP technical team.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in traditional SAP
development technologies, including ABAP, RICEFW, BRF+, and Fiori, along with
modern SAP technologies such as SAP S/4HANA, RAP, OData V4, and SAP BTP.

·        The consultant will be responsible for
technical design, developing enterprise-grade extensions, building
high-performance OData V4 services using the RESTful Application Programming
Model (RAP), and supporting SAP Fiori applications and side-by-side integrations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Modern API and OData V4 Services

·        Design, develop, and optimize high-performance
OData V4 services using SAP RAP and Service Binding frameworks.

·        Enable service consumption by SAP Fiori
Elements, SAP Analytics, and third-party applications.

·        Implement advanced OData V4 capabilities,
including draft handling, deep inserts, batch processing, actions, functions,
and deferred loading.

2. SAP S/4HANA and BTP Development

·        Develop custom applications using the SAP RAP
framework in both managed and unmanaged scenarios.

·        Design and develop complex Core Data Services
(CDS) views, table functions, and AMDPs.

·        Extend standard SAP S/4HANA processes using SAP
BTP ABAP Environment (Steampunk) and side-by-side extension patterns.

·        Follow SAP Clean Core principles and ABAP Cloud
development guidelines.

3. Core ABAP, BRF+, Fiori/UI5, and RICEFW

·        Design and develop RICEFW objects, including
reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

·        Develop business rules, decision tables, and
dynamic processing logic using BRF+.

·        Implement enhancement techniques such as BAdIs,
Enhancement Spots, and implicit/explicit enhancements.

·        Work with SAP Fiori and UI5 applications,
including integration with OData services.

4. Code Quality, Performance, and Governance

·        Perform ABAP code optimization, performance
tuning, and SQL trace analysis.

·        Use tools such as ATC, ST05, SAT, and ST12 for
code quality checks and performance analysis.

·        Ensure adherence to SAP development standards,
security guidelines, and clean-core practices.

5. Collaboration and Documentation

·        Collaborate with solution architects and
functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical
solutions.

·        Prepare and maintain Technical Specification
Documents (TSDs).

·        Perform unit testing, code reviews, and
technical troubleshooting.

·        Provide technical guidance and support to
junior team members.

Required Qualifications and Technical Skills

Experience and Education

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

·        5–10 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development
experience.

·        At least 2 years of hands-on experience in SAP
S/4HANA, RAP, and OData V4.

Technical Skills

API and Integration Technologies

·        OData V4, REST/JSON APIs, SOAP, RFC.

·        Service Definition and Service Binding using
ABAP Development Tools (ADT).

SAP S/4HANA and RAP

·        SAP RAP framework, including managed and
unmanaged implementations.

·        CDS View Entities, annotations, table
functions, and AMDP.

·        Draft handling and OData V4 service
development.

SAP BTP

·        SAP BTP ABAP Environment (Steampunk).

·        Side-by-side extensions and cloud-based
development.

·        Exposure to SAP Integration Suite or SAP Cloud
Application Programming Model (CAP) integration.

Business Rules and Traditional ABAP

·        BRF+ application development, decision tables,
and dynamic functions.

·        Object-Oriented ABAP, ALV, BAPIs, IDocs, and
ALE.

·        Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Business
Workflow.

·        Enhancements using BAdIs and Enhancement
Framework.

Code Quality and Performance Tuning

·        ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC).

·        ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.

·        ST05 SQL Trace, SAT, ST12, and AMDP performance
analysis.

Preferred Skills

·        SAP certification in SAP BTP, RAP, or ABAP for
SAP HANA.

·        Knowledge of SAP Fiori Elements and its
integration with OData V4 services.

·        Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git-based ABAP
development (abapGit), and Agile delivery methodologies.
