This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SAP Project Manager based in India.
This role is centered on leading complex, end-to-end SAP transformation programs for enterprise clients operating in dynamic, multi-country environments. You will take ownership of large-scale SAP implementations, ensuring seamless delivery across planning, execution, integration, and post-go-live phases. Acting as the key orchestrator between business stakeholders, technical consultants, and external vendors, you will drive alignment on scope, timelines, and outcomes. The role requires strong leadership in managing cross-functional and multicultural teams while maintaining control over budgets, risks, and delivery KPIs. You will play a critical role in enabling business transformation through SAP S/4HANA and related enterprise systems. This is a high-impact position for a delivery leader who thrives in structured yet fast-paced consulting environments and enjoys driving measurable business value through technology.
Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end SAP project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and successful implementation aligned with business objectives and timelines
- Manage cross-functional teams composed of SAP consultants, internal stakeholders, and external vendors across multiple geographies
- Define and maintain comprehensive project plans, budgets, resource allocation strategies, and risk mitigation frameworks
- Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops and stakeholder sessions to ensure alignment and consensus on project scope and outcomes
- Oversee critical project phases including data migration, system integration, testing, cutover, and user training activities
- Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology, governance frameworks, and organizational change management standards
- Track project performance through KPIs and provide clear, consistent reporting to executive leadership
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues proactively to ensure successful and timely delivery
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on SAP implementation projects
- Solid understanding of SAP modules and hands-on exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments
- Proven experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall, and SAP Activate methodologies
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing global, cross-functional, and multicultural teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities at senior levels
- Experience working in industries such as manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities in complex environments
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or Smartsheet
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred
